Corporate Staff Accountant

 MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Prepare certain corporate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reports & other accounting operations reports 

Post certain monthly transactions related to the corporate management companies. 

Serve as primary contact for all corporate treasury items including any credit card disputes. 

Prepare certain entries on the management companies books related to certain accruals. 

Prepare the monthly accounting entries for the Gillco Finance Company

Reconcile certain corporate vendor accounts

Reconcile south complex intercompany reconciliations among related dealerships and post or coordinate that all outstanding items are being posted among all stores.  

Prepare the credit card allocation for all locations.

Prepare the monthly fixed asset reports for all locations.

Reconcile the South Complex weekly bank reconciliation

Reconcile certain bank reconciliations and maintain bank and credit card reconciliation files for all stores and all accounts. 

Research and post certain corporate transactions on weekly bank statements as needed

Assist Accounting and Operations Manager and CAO complete special projects that include but not limited to LIFO, Internal Labor, and Unclaimed Property for all locations

Other duties that may be assigned

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 Prior automotive dealership accounting experience preferred

Accounting degree preferred

Must be detailed oriented and possess good organizational skills and the ability to work to deadlines

Competent with computers, spreadsheets, and a calculator; willing to learn onsite system 

Working knowledge of Word and Excel

Organize reports and reconciliations 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 Must be eligible to work in the US

Must pass drug test and extensive criminal background screening

Motivated to go above and beyond the minimum standard
