Gillman Honda of Houston currently has an opportunity available for an Experienced Parts Manager. Qualified candidates will share our passion for great customer service and have a drive to go above and beyond the minimum standard.  The primary goals for the Parts Manager are to supervise the parts staff and run a profitable department. The ideal candidate will have management skills and a proven track record as a leader in parts, with the ability to grow sales and maintain the highest of CSI.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

- Responsible for the operations, personnel, marketing and profitability of the department to include inventory control, proper purchasing procedures, security, pricing, merchandising, and advertising

- Properly staff the department, which includes hiring, training, motivating and monitoring the performance of all parts department staff

- Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, collision repair, wholesale accounts and general public

- Strive to generate a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory

- Develop and execute an aggressive wholesale parts program to produce profit

- Forecast sales, gross profits and expenses

- Maintain an at or above national average CSI score and follow up with all customer issues or concerns to insure client satisfaction

- Other duties may be assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses)

 

- At least 5 years of automotive parts experience

- Parts inventory knowledge required

- Honda experienced preferred, but not required

- Reynolds Power system knowledge a plus

- Excellent customer service skills

- Ability to be analytical, problem solve and multi-task

- Self-motivated enthusiastic presence in a team environment

- Strong written and communication skills

- Consistent and stable work history

- Valid Texas driver’s license

- Professional appearance and work ethic

- Must be eligible to work in the US

- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background check, MVR, and drug screen
