We are a growing company and are looking for talented, experienced Accounting/Office Manager to join our executive team to manage our three stores in Harlingen and San Benito, TX!
MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION:
Prepare and report the monthly financial statements for our Honda & Chevrolet, Buick, & GMC franchises in accordance to dealership guidelines and within the manufacturers’ guidelines, format and deadlines
Prepare and report the financial statements and supplemental data for our Gillman NCM 20 Group
Hire, train, manage, and supervise office personnel of eight staff members
Compile and prepare reports including weekly and monthly forecasts with general manager and other reports for the dealer principal, general manager, & executive management team
Calculate and post the monthly commissions of all department managers paid on dealership’s monthly performance
Provide for timely daily operating control (DOCs) and keep the general manager/executive team informed about trends in income and expenses per store and per department
Post the weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll timely and accurately in accordance with dealership guidelines
Post weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll and pay related payroll taxes
Ensure that all manufacturer accounts including but not limited to warranty claims, rebates/incentives, floorplan assistance, holdback, PDI, advertising/coop are posted and reconciled timely to the manufacturer statement and general ledger
Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled to general ledger
Attend and participate in all weekly Honda and Chevrolet, Buick, & GMC manager meetings, weekly office manager conference calls, quarterly executive/NCM management meetings, and any other additional meetings
Oversee the reconciliation of intercompany reconciliations among related dealerships
Oversee the reconciliation extended warranty and insurance product reconciliations
Oversee the reconciliation of finance reserve statements and monthly adjustments
Oversee the reconciliation of monthly floorplan statements. Manage and work with bank representatives during the floorplan audits
Oversee the reconciliation of inventory to dealer statements
Oversee the preparation of monthly VIT reports and make related payments
Oversee the vendor reconciliations from vendor statement to general ledger
Prepare monthly sales, lease rental, and battery reports and make related payments
Review the monthly parts reconciliations and make the related monthly adjustments
Oversee the preparation and filing of Form 8300 reports as needed
Research and post certain transactions on weekly bank statement as needed
Other duties that may be assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Prior automotive dealership accounting experience or degree in accounting
Prior Office Manager/Controller management experience
Must be detailed oriented and possess good organizational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Accounting degree preferred
Honda & Chevrolet, Buick, & GMC accounting experience preferred
Reynolds & Reynolds Power (UCS) experience preferred
Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred
