Corporate Staff Accountant

MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Post certain monthly transactions related to the corporate management companies.

Serve as primary contact for all corporate treasury items including any credit card disputes.

Pay related payroll taxes for the management company

Reconcile south complex intercompany reconciliations among related dealerships and post or coordinate that all outstanding items are being posted among all stores.  

Prepare the credit card allocation for all locations.

Prepare the monthly fixed asset reports for all locations.

Reconcile certain bank reconciliations and maintain bank and credit card reconciliation files for all stores and all accounts.

Assist Controller in preparation certain corporate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reports & other accounting operations reports

Reconcile certain corporate vendor accounts

Assist Controller in reviewing and analysis of large corporate vendor proposals

Review & internal audit the Form 8300 filings for all locations

Research and post certain corporate transactions on weekly bank statements as needed

Manage and complete special projects that include but not limited to LIFO and Unclaimed Property for all locations

Other duties that may be assigned

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

Prior automotive dealership accounting experience preferred

Accounting degree preferred

Must be detailed oriented and possess good organizational skills and the ability to work to deadlines

Competent with computers, spreadsheets, and a calculator; willing to learn onsite system

Working knowledge of Word and Excel

Organize reports and reconciliations

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must be eligible to work in the US

Must pass drug test and extensive criminal background screening
