What you’ll be doing:

Examine and diagnose vehicles
Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor
Provide labor estimates and communicate additional service requests to the Service Advisor
Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman
Monitor repair time and update service advisor
Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
Assist in mentoring technician trainees
Attend company and factory training and keep current with factory technical bulletins
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)

We currently have an opportunity available for a Car Wash Technician. Qualified candidates will share our passion for great customer service and have a drive to go above and beyond the minimum standard.
Car Wash Technician
The main purpose of this position is to clean and detail vehicles that have been sold or repaired.
Job Responsibilities

Washes, waxes, and buffs vehicles, dress wheels and tires
Vacuums interiors and trunks
Cleans all glass components thoroughly
Inspects and cleans engine compartment
Operates car wash where available
Maintains strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS  (Including Driver's License)
Operator's Driver's License (must be insurable).

The capability to read/comprehend written instructions and information

Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice would be highly desirable

The Responsibilities:

Performing multipoint inspections and communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
Servicing universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using grease guns
Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
Checking tire pressure, adding water to radiators, and replacing oil and air filters
Lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants
Draining oil from crankcases and refilling with oil
Inspecting all vehicles for additional repairs

Service Advisor – Automotive
We need a Service Advisor who is an expert in the art and science of customer service. Must be able to greet guests, schedule appointments and act as a liaison between customers and service techs. Business Development Center Consultants have been arranged as a convenience for prospective customers who are researching vehicles, pricing and availability in the digital marketplace. Business Development Center Consultants assist in streamlining the entire research-purchase-ownership process of our prospect's next vehicle. The primary focus is being the prospect's first friendly, memorable and outgoing Gillman Chevrolet GMC San Benito contact point before the initial showroom visit and then the primary goal becomes cultivating/coordinating appointments with them. The main objective of the position is to encourage bringing new business prospects into the show room which can lead to increasing sales opportunities, growth and eventually client retention for the company.
Training will be provided to prepare the new associate in all aspects of the position prior to dealings with the customer base to ensure confidence and a great opportunity for success!
REQUIREMENTS:
Retail, Sales & Customer Service related experience background (Automotive preferred)
Computer skilled individual who works well in a very fast pace, team environment
High School Graduate preferred
Bilingual strongly preferred
Must be eligible to work in the US
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening to include drug screen, MVR and criminal background check
